Review 1：Only one elevator was working where my room was located, and overcrowded all the time it took forever to get to my room; the food was not good, and twice they ran out of eggs and on one of the days they had no coffee, and took forever to replenish.

Review 3：Moldy!!! Poor service. Poor facilities: Broken shower, poorly functioning airconditioner, Moldy, Worn facility, Noisy music for most of the afternoon (nobody but worker listening - voluntarily). Poor problems resolution.

Review 5：Hot water and elevators were very intermittent, the hotel is being remodeled. I know the hotel has no control over the beach but I have never before experience such a number of bums trying to sell anything for money. In the United States this behavior would not be tolerated on the beach. After much harassment by these vendors, I simply avoided the beach. Not being able to enjoy the beach was the biggest problem I encountered. I am not sure why the police don't get rid of all of the beach rats and vultures. The Police Station is right there and the police seem to ignore the bums. I will probably never go back to Cartagena because of all of the bums on the beach.

Review 6：The staff and the food was great. The beach in front of the hotel was inundated with all sorts of low lives trying to sell anything from hats, glasses, trinkets, beach tours, massages and on and on. The location was good. Cartagena is a very nice city. I had a great time!

Review 9：- poor staff support - staff switching assiting other people who just arrived, prior to people who are already waiting for some time - i had to wait almost 30 minutes in the lobby to get my key. So much people waiting, seemed like an unorganized staff. - too many people during lunch and dining, felt like a was in a factory so noisy - 'cooled' water unit serviced non cooled and non minerla water. This was water straight from the water tap...non drinkable!! - when checking out, no staff was available to had me over my bags that I had stored in the lobby. After 20 minutes someone arrived. - only 2 elevators which are so slow, taking the stairway seemed more beneficial.

Review 11：I thought others were being overly critical in their reviews of this hotel before I stayed there, but I must say that this hotel lived up to the bad reviews. The service/administration was horrible- incompetent most of the time. The rooms were below standard (rooms had black mold in them, bathrooms had leaks so the bathroom floor would fill with water every day, there were ants in the hallways). The food at the buffet was not that great and wasn't warm when served. It was a noisy hotel, and it smelled pretty bad- like a weird chemical smell. But the worst thing about it was the time it took to accomplish anything at the front desk. Our check-in took two hours (and we were only two parties in line), and when we wanted to check out early (to change hotels) they kept referring us to someone else endlessly. So, there was a huge lack of competence. The only good things were 1) the location, and 2) the wifi. Also, some of the workers (bus boys and cleaning ladies) were really nice. At the reception they were just rude and incompetent. This hotel needs a lot of work to live up to what it is advertising itself to be.

Review 13：Of the last 5 years of 1500+ nights in hotels, I have never encountered a worst place to stay in my life. This is unlike any other property with rules and processes carefully designed to make a guest's experience challenging. 1. Check-in only takes an hour at the front desk, accepting payment usually results in US banks blocking your card due to suspected fraud, and guests can count on another 30 min before room inspection can be complete and a key is obtained 2. Wifi is non-existant 3. There are strange restrictions around where you can move around the hotel as well taking your room towel out of the room (really?) 4. Exercising "discipline," redundant process, and rules requires a lot of monitoring and staff, and the hotel has impressively invested plenty of manpower in that area 5. Oh and don't dare leave your key in your room, it will only take several hours for the hotel to find a locksmith...one would have thought to keep duplicates right? 6. Though it is all-inclusive, the alcohol quality is bound to make you sick and the food is mostly uncooked. Be prepared to eat/drink outside for all 3 meals. I am surprised that the hotel is still up and running. We were a group of 8 who spent most of our time outside the rooms, but whatever moments were at the hotel, were not conducive to a convenient existence.

Really the hotel needs donations for maintenance including painting, cleaning, elevator upkeep, and honesty with guests. In summary, the hotel needs to be honest and transparent with guests. I

Review 32：Uconfortable beds: when you sit, if you had something on them it willfall down. Dark room at night, only one central light on the ceiling.Not enough to read. Can’t turn it off from the bed, need to get up.Once off, once in a while in our room it would flash on! The next daycame for maintanance but they only changed the bulb. Between 6am and6pm can’t avoid the sun light, since there’s no dark curtain at thewindow. It took us 40 min to complete the check in at arrival (andthere was nobody else waiting!). For someone it took 1 hour and a half.When checking in they put a plastic band (bracelet) on your whrist(adults and kids) and you have to keep it on until checking out!Necessary to eat or use any facility. Bad smell and noisy 'airconditioning' in the room. Not real air conditioning since the airkeeps humid and your clothes keep wet! The Booking reservation said“partial view of the Ocean”. We were at the 6th floor, facing the noisystreet, with only a very far away corner of sea... Bad condition in thebathroom: water leaking in the sink and in the shower. Mirror broken ina corner and bending on a side. No hot water the first day, then itbroke up completely and they came to fix it, and after then we had hotwater. Coakroaches on the floor every night, and the biggest one wehave ever seen. Wifi didn’t work, not even in the lobby. None of thestaff gives you the info required. The only nice guy: Franklyn thesecurity guard. You can only use the pool until 6pm and from 8.30am.The beach is not private and impossible to get shade, only 20 cabanas(they call them carpas) for more than 320 rooms. No hay cajafuerte. Nosafe in the room to put your money or passports. Ordinary food at anymeal. Once we asked to get sandwiches since every meal was alreadypayed and we were going to spend the day in the old Cartagena: we hadto ask 3 times, to wait 30min in front of the kitchen... To get 4 smallsandwiches and 2 small apples...

Review 33：No recommend for US standards, is like a Big old Motel, with terrible food, small rooms, very old beds. No more than 2 stars is what would be categorized. You pay your complete stay in the registration, so if you want to leave sooner your money is gone, like my case.
