Reviews for Hotel Vino Bello

Review 1:The setting exceeded our expectations. The place is in the middle of a vineyard with an amazing view of the mountains. We saw eagles, rabbits and other local fauna. The restaurant is recommended, great food by an Italian chef on a Tuscan setting.

Review 2:A tad far away from town; there are some good places to eat locally (family owned) but getting into town is a 30min walk/ 5 min taxi. Either easily done though.

Review 3:Really quite something being within a Vineyard. Just astoundingly beautiful scenery. Friendly staff organised a wine tour for us. Comfy rooms and lovely breakfast.

Review 4:The breakfast

Review 5:The room was cozy. We arrived late at night (the night was freezing) and the receptionist had turned the "Bosca" (wood stove) before we arrive. He gave us tips and directions about where to visit and eat.

Review 6:The owner, originally from the USA and married to a Chilean, has created a perfect blend of two cultures in this old adobe structure. She has maintained its charm and added all of the comforts of home. Plus, she was able to help us get our cell phone to call the US. And Location, Location, Location... Just outside the bustling village of Santa Cruz, nestled in a vineyard. Breakfast was great, be sure to try her son's restaurant across the street, Casa Colchagua.

Review 7:Had to wait quite a while for the receptionist to arrive for checkout even though we had an agenda and we're in a hurry to check out. The rooms are also a bit out of date.

Review 8:The location of the hotel in a vineyard, although a bit far from santa cruz town

Review 9:The receptionista was not so eager to help us with things when we needed help and not so flexible. The cleaning lady, Pilar, however, was really helpful and so sweet and nice. The breakfast is okay, nothing special. Wifi only outside the room.

Review 10:The room was nicely decorated and spacious. The beds were very comfortable. The (hotel)room is very clean. The garden is beautiful and you are right in the wineries. Nice swimmingpool (not used it however).

Review 11:excellent restaurant right across the road serving authentic Chilean dishes. The pastel de choclo was extremely good!

Review 12:Wonderful staff, bright cheery rooms, small hotel. No crowds. Good pool.

Review 13:The hotel helped to make the experience among the wineries of Maipo Valley perfect.

Review 14:Everything! Wonderful Place! Will be back for sure!

Review 15:Beautiful location, if you're looking to relax in the Chilean vineyard countryside. Surrounded by vineyards, this little hotel is a perfect getaway. We were there when it was cold, but it was nice and cozy, with a wood fire, and homemade breakfast in the morning. Great stay!

Review 16:We had a bit of trouble finding the place at first, but Santa Cruz is relatively small, so we worked it out fairly quickly. Using GPS in Chile is always part of the adventure.

Review 17:Serene, tranquil, quiet. Quaint, well-appointed. Friendly staff. Lovely breakfast. Excellent recommendations for activities in the area, and made reservations on our behalf.

Review 18:Nothing

Review 19:Fabulous staff Clean, comfy rooms Well stocked mini-bar Delicious breakfast with fresh squeezed raspberry juice Help making and changing vineyard bookings. Strong Wifi

Review 20:Very difficult to find... Suggested to the owner the Gps address.

Review 21:Nice swimming pool, beautiful surroundings with wineyards in front of the hotel. Comfortable beds, nice breakfast!

Review 22:This is a lovely place with a beautiful yard. It was an ideal place for families with children. The staff was accommodating and our stay was relaxing and peaceful.

Review 23:The peaceful location in the vineyards was pleasant and relaxing. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable and well kept. Breakfast was simple but excellent quality with freshly prepared eggs.

Review 24:Limited knowledge of English by the staff, but they were very willing tosolve all situations.

Review 25:Excellent location within vineyards and great scenery . Rather basic"old style" room, but really roomy and pleasant shared areasand garden. Their restaurant, accessible by short walk throughvineyards, was a gourmet experience, including sunset behind themountains. Very tasty and healthy was also the breakfast. Good WiFi. InSanta Cruz, the Colchagua Museum is really worth visiting - requiringseveral hours. Visits of the wineries offer very different experiences, but tastings are not cheap.

Review 26:Contact with owners was 'icy'. The restaurant with the same name (and ownership?) was very good. But also here a lot of distance and ignorance for the customer needs or requests.

Review 27:Nice situated beteren the vineyards. Small but refreshing pool.

Review 28:That we didn't stay longer!

Review 29:The hotel is very conforting, very cozy. You open the windows and realize you're in the middle of a winery! The view is gorgeous, the bed is really confortable, bathrooms are good. Breakfast is delicious, with fresh fruit, fresh fruit juice, eggs, rolls, nut bread... We loved it! You can walk from the hotel to their restaurant and to Laura Hartwig winery (a boutique wine producer, really wonderful). The staff is super helpfull! We were only going to stay for one night and ended up staying for two. They have a lovely terrace where you can seat and enjoy the view, read a book, or even take a swim. Would definately go there again!

Review 30:Road noise in the room.

Review 31:Very friendly, warm owners. The restaurant that is part of the hotel is excellent! The room was comfortable. The setting amazing!

Review 32:It is located in a vineyard, the view around it is beautiful, the staff was very friendly, the rooms were clean and comfortable. We enjoyed it very much. The Vino Bello restaurant is just around the corner.

Review 33:it was a perfect place to relax in a peaceful, beautiful countryside setting with flowers, birds singing at your window, great breakfast, knowledgeable innkeeper and in the middle of vineyards some of which are well known in Chile. You are given a small bottle of red and white wine as a gift. You can relax under the weeping willows as you take a swim in their pool. Would go back any time. Perfect.

Review 34:The hotel is small and when we tried to book a room later in thevacation they were fully booked.

Review 35:This is a small extablishment surrounded by vineyards in a very prettysetting. It felt like we were staying in a country house on a vineyard. The staff were extremly friendly and helpful After an overnight flightand being very tired we left on the car lights and when we went back tothe car the battery was flat. The staff called the local villagemechanic who came very quickly and helped us start the car and charged avery reasonable price The peace and understated gentility of this hotelwas very enjoyable and relaxing. Breakfast was nice with home madebreads and fresh fruit juice. The hotel has a restaurnat just around thecorner and give 10% discount off meals there The hotel was just a coupleof munites from the main square of Santa Cruz

Review 36:the room smelled a bit damp but opening the windows for 10 minutes cleared this problem

Review 37:it was close to santa cruz and in a vineyard so quiet at night ,nice old house with swimming pool in the garden the 10 percent discount if you eat at their italian restaurant a nice gesture (the restaurant is a 10 minute walk from the hotel)
