Reviews for Hotel Casa De Campo
Review 1:The rooms could benefit from ceiling fans as it was warm in the evenings and opening the doors meant bugs coming inside. Also, the hotel was located very close to a main road so we could hear cars throughout the night.
Review 2:Hotel Casa De Campo was so charming and very well located for visiting nearby wineries. The staff was also very friendly.
Review 3:Traffic noise during the day, the good news is, they are building a wall to tone the noise down.
Review 4:The hotel ambience was excellent, calming and soothing with a great view of the farms and the mountain from the balcony. Breakfast was excellent with European flare. The staff were nice and helpful.
Atendentes super atenciosos.
Review 7:Everything was perfect
Review 8:Beautiful hotel with completely attention to details. Nice size and comfortable bed with plenty of pillows. Delicious breakfast. Everything was homemade. Gorgeous view overlooking the wine yards and mountains.
Review 9:The location is close to the main road so there was a bit of traffic noise.
Review 10:The hotel was very rustic and comfortable and close to all the local vineyards.
Review 11:The pool area was not kept clean . My husband stepped on a sharp piece of metal laying on the paving stones. Dog droppings by main entrance there for our 3 day stay . The King bed room with a third single bed we booked online was not available when we arrived. We were told the hotel does not even have rooms like that.
Review 12:Convenient location to wineries and town of Santa Cruz. Small boutique hotel with all the charming style of Chile including three friendly dogs. Abudant, delicious breakfast . The barbeque area by the pool was a bonus.
Review 15:The hotel felt a bit worn, as if several years of wetter-than-expected weather and a number of earthquakes had taken their toll.
Review 16:The hotel is located mere minutes outside of Santa Cruz, the major centre of the Colchagua Valley, which is home to Chilean gems such as Lapostolle, Montes, and Viu Manent. The hotel staff was kind, welcoming, efficient-as-hell, and very conscientious. The room was incredible - it had a little loft section that was actually quite romantic!
Review 17:Noise from the street and the brazilians staying next door
Review 18:Friendly staff it was truly great! We had a small infant and they were able go provide everything we needed
Review 19:Hotel : clean, comfortable rooms and decorated with exquisite details -amazing gardens Service : excellent and helpful
Review 20:a little noisy (the road is pretty close)
Review 21:Good place to relax, awesome breakfast
Review 22:Beautiful outdoor area with vineyard and fruit trees. Excelente breakfast.
Review 23:Peacefulness and the scenery
Review 24:A bit of road noise but ask for upstairs rooms looking over pool and grapes
Review 25:To close from the main road (more or less constant noise) No restaurant at walking distance from the hotel.
Review 26:The hotel by itself: very old farm with splendid view on mountains and vineyards. Very confortable, clean and cosy bedrooms, gentle staff, very nice breakfast.
Review 27:Minor issue with English speaking as we do not speak Spanish but all turned out grea
Review 28:It was a comfortable atmosphere and lovely grounds. the rooms was nicely appointed and wifi was free. Staff had great suggestions for Restaurants and made appointments for winery tours great folks.
Review 29:On main road - slightly disturbed the otherwise beautiful tranquility of the place Receptionist gave us very little information about the hotel or area when we arrived
Review 30:husband (armando) and wife owners very friendly and helpful. Room comfortable and good quality. Great balcony looking out onto lawn, pool, and mountains. Reasonable breakfast (could make more use of patio just outside breakfast room) On main road, we did not have own transport but bus from station in santiago dropped us right outside. just a couple of kilometres from Santa Cruz, approx 2000 pesos each way. There are a few vineyards in the area - good to visit We had no reservation anywhere for New Years Eve meal - hotel managed to find somewhere and meal was very nice (altho' no attempt made at a brindis / toast at midnight, not even a mention, nothing! which we found a bit odd (not hotel's fault, of course). Overall a pleasant place
Review 31:Friendly staff ~ great facilities including barbecue grill and outdoor kitchen that guests could use. Very close to Santa Cruz. Clean comfortable rooms and great breakfast. Highly recommend.
Review 32:No restaurant at the hotel itself which we would recommend because the breakfasts are amazing.
Review 33:This hotel was the best hotel we stayed in during our 3 weeks on holiday. I would highly recommend it to anyone going to Colchagua Valley who is looking for excellent value for money. The view from the room balcony is just like in the picture and while being there and visiting wineries, its just as gorgeous as the view at the wineries. The style of the hacienda and rooms is very rustic and modern and the bed is big and comfortable. The breakfast was also very extensive and delicious and the staff friendly and helpful. You should definitely go eat at Vino Bello.
Review 34:The noise from the road that is in front of the hotel is very loud for me. This is the only reason i would not stay in this hotel again, because as do not have a deep sleep it annoied me a lot every day because the noise never stop. But, if you do not care about noise it is ok. I really suggest that the hotel makes some improvements to reduce the noise inside the bedroons, like putting some thick glasses on the doors. The water in the shower is not hot and finishes very quickly. Also, we could not turn on the heater.
Review 35:The hotel is very beautiful, full of flowers (very good flower smell all around) and has a really nice garden. There is a small grape plantation and the garden is really, really beautiful. People from front door is very nice. They gave us maps, map from the wineries, times of the wines tours of all wineries, they made all the reservations for us. The breakfast is average, we stayed for 3 nights and they served the same things (the same sliced fruits all the days). The pool is cold and is not big as it looks in the picture, but nice.
Review 36:The location is beside a very busy road with a lot of noise. The room had poor ventilation. No tea and coffee facility, when I asked for a tea in the evening I was told it was not possible.
Review 37:Pleasant setting.
Review 38:Much too near a main road, causing disturbing traffic noise. Little to no insulation from the noise of neighboring room as well. Television didn't work: no sound and no English channels. Clogged sink drain. Bad linens (not even sure they had been laundered--this was a first anywhere). The staff, though friendly, has very little English.
Review 39:Excellent breakfast. Delicious fresh-squeezed orange juice. Many wood-fired stoves for warmth.
Review 40:Noise from cars on the nearby road.
Review 41:My flight to Chile got delayed and they were able to push my 3 dayreservation back a day with no extra charge. Great breakfast, beautiful setting.
Review 42:It is not a problem, but more like a notice. Because it is a bed & breakfast hotel and is outside of the town, you want to make sure you have anything to eat.
Review 43:Very nice small and rustic hotel. All rooms face to the mountains with a balcony perfect for enjoying the good wine you bought on the wineries you visited during the day. Simple but very good nice breakfast. There is a nice fireplace close to the pool making it perfect for small group meeting during the winter.
Review 44:The hotel is quite close to the road, so you do hear the road sounds--though not so much in the rooms.
Review 45:The facility is lovely--a beautiful collection of old-world architectural details in a new building. The staff are wonderful and helpful, the setting is beautiful, the breakfast is fabulous, the beds are very comfortable....it's really a charming place to stay.
Review 46:We did not feel this property was deserving of the price. Just as awarning, they do not accept credit cards. They will accept usd, but givea noticeable discount for paying with Chilean Pesos.
Review 47:My husband and I (50's from usa) really enjoyed this wine countryhotel as it was very beautiful in a rustic way and close to thewineries. The daughter of the owners spoke some English, which helped usimmensely. Nice local breakfast. We were in room 8 which had aspectacular view and a comfortable bed.
Review 48:There is some traffic noise because it is along the major road but it is not that bad and everything else makes up for it.
Review 49:I can only recommend this hotel. The rooms are beautifully decorated, the views of the hills with the grapes are spectacular, the unheated pool is big enough. At night we made a fire in the outside fireplace. (There is also a grill but we did not use it) Ride in a taxi to downtown Santa Cruz is 3000 pesos for 5 people in the taxi.
Review 50:We loved it! A gem right in the heart of Chile's best wine countryvalley...large room, comfy bed, delicious breakfast, spacious groundsand incredible views!
Review 51:Hotel would not accept a credit card
Review 52:Location
Review 53:Closeness to main road which meant it was somewhat noisy during day(minor negative).
Review 54:Superb facilities and staff. Excellent breakfast.
Review 55:View! Charming!
Review 56:Facility needs to be updated a bit.
Review 57:Laidback feeling.
Review 58:Everything was perfect.
Review 59:Nature and landskape very beautiful. Hotel is very charm and confortable
Review 60:did not accept credit card..
