Review 1：Quite an old structure that has been partially renovated. Was given the opportunity to try two rooms, neither of which had water warm enough to shower. Plus you can't just paint things like shower stalls and call them renovated. Ewe! Ended up getting refund and left.

Review 3：I am ok with a value hotel but this was the worst I have been in for the money! We couldn't even bring ourselves to have a shower in the morning. As we were watching tv, a cockroach crawled across the floor! I would never go there again and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
Review 4：The only good thing about this place is that it was close to the ferry and the staff was nice.
Review 5：The shower. I'm 6'3" tall and they didn't design that shower for the vertically inclined individuals of this world.
Review 6：I liked the location, as it was close to the main highway and I could easily run up to the malls on the north end or visit family in Parksville.
Review 7：Floors were filthy especially the bathroom. We were given a "delux room with kitchenette". Kitchenette consisted of a single burner , plug-in hot plate & a counter with sink. Cabinets were falling apart & there was very little usable utensils, no dishtowels or dish clothes to wash dishes. Apparently the premises must have a poor reputation since the conditions for occupancy included no prostitutes, drugs or drug dealing. Housekeeping services are only provided on request. The accommodation is over-priced & we will never stay there again. I am surprised Booking.com handles this quality of accommodation.

Review 9：Cleaning is done once a week and our room did not look like it had been cleaned for awhile. Hair in shower stall. Not extensively remodelled. Shower stall is old and the paint they used to cover the old sides and floor is peeling. Does not look like a lot of money goes into maintaining this property.
Review 10：The staff were very helpful and efficient. I cannot fault them in any way. Bedding was clean. Toilet was clean.
Review 11：Air conditioner broken, window lock broken, busy street, drug activity right out the door, clerk was rude and dismissive, plastic sheet on bed to make you sweat, in need of repair, door knob falling off, shall I go on?
Review 12：The bathroom was scary! I was running through scenes of Alfred Hitchcock's "Psycho" when I had a shower.If I end up with some sort of nasty foot fungus,I'll know where it came from!
Review 13：We had traveled quite a distance and needed to rest our head's after making it to the island. The location was good for a one niter off of the ferry from Vancouver. The beds were surprisingly comfortable.
Review 14：It was the only room left when we attended the BC summer games. I should have booked earlier. The shower was too small. This motel was not centrally located to the downtown core, and we needed our car when we went out anywhere, therefore needed a D/D to drive.
Review 15：My room is full of smoking smell even I open my room door for an hour. The circulation of air condition is full of smoking smell for the entire two nights when I stayed. The shower area is very small. It is difficult to turn around within a limited shower area.
Review 16：water not working in bathroom sink & got my coffee water from the showerhead. I am however, remiss in not reporting it to management even though I had a friendly chat with the cleaning staff. Forgot; sorry.
Review 17：close to the ferry to gabriola next day. Staff friendly & easy to talk to.
Review 18：Toilets made loud noises all night long. They did not flush properly and plugged up. Beds were second rate and difficult for me, disabled, to access. I had to sleep in a chair all night, both nights. Charged 25cents for ice??? How low rent is that? Nobody at front desk until 10:00am?? What the hell is that about? Nothing but the sound of highway traffic all night long. I will never, come here again.

Review 28：The bathroom had a rusty soap dish in the shower, the shower stall was a concrete stall with old paint that was in poor shape, no hair dryer or bath mat. No extra blankets for the bed and old stained curtains on the windows.
