Review 1：Summer in Locarno can be stifling hot and there is no A/C at Casa Emmaus. It would haven't been great if each room came with a big fan to make it more summer nights more comfortable. Casa Emmaus caters to families (in fact, it seems more appropriate for families rather than solo travelers or couples); so depending on the period, expect running screaming children and also lots of pets. Depending on your luck, the place can be really quiet or just running wild!
Review 2：The staff and owner of Casa Emmaus are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are quite big and the garden is nice and serene. The laundry facilities are definitely helpful for longer stays. There is a large supermarket just around the corner; so I would recommend booking the apartment with the kitchen instead of the regular rooms. Easy to get to by car or public transportation.
Review 3：Information about charges involved on booking.com is misleading and does not indicate outrageous clenning fee of 100 chf that makes accomodation at double price for one night. Disappointing experience.

Review 5：Very comfortable, big enough, it's value to live long time because the clean fee is high, if stay around one week or longer, it would be a very good choice.
Review 6：When I booked the room the price was very reasonable - but there is a cleaning fee payable at the end of your say, as we stayed only one night the room it came to cost very near double the amount originally listed.

Review 8：Very friendly staff. Accsess to Ascona central is just 15-20min. easy walk. Big parking spaces & nice garden with fruits trees. Close to main road to go to Locarno, Lugano and simpelon pass.
Review 9：On arrival we were pleased to find that the hotel was in a modern building and had plenty of free parking. The hotel is in a residential area about 15 minutes walk from Ascona's old town. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were shown to our room and as the receptionist realised we were next to a family with children, moved us one room further away in case they were noisy. The room itself was very clean, modern, fairly large and functional with a good sized balcony. A very good continental breakfast was included in the room price. Highly recommended, and good value for money.
