Reviews for Manoir Saint-Sauveur
Review 1:No bellmen, so no help when we arrived or left with luggage. Key card didn't work a number of times so had to go back to front desk which was far due to hotel being large. Lots of people just walking around hotel when they where not guests, security lacking.
Review 2:Good size room, very comfortable bed, clean and good facilities for families.
Review 3:There was no snow although that was not your problem!!
Review 4:We have stayed with you many times over the past years, mostly in the winter. We were treated very well by the staff and will certainly visit with you again.
Review 5:It is conveniently located right in the heart of Saint Sauveur. The room was great! We had a fireplace and Jacuzzi in our room along with a kitchenette. A great way to spend a romantic weekend away.
Review 6:Waited too long for service in cafe. Seemed understaffed. Turned out to be a bonus because we left and went to a place in the village which was a real treat.
Review 7:Decor beautiful. Very comfortable. Fabulous location.
Review 8:Facilities looked great but pool closed at 9 p.m. so we didnt get a chance to swim. Our room was miles away from reception/bar/facilities. I will not go back.
Review 9:Room was nice.
Review 10:The parking lot was full, due most likely to the scheduled events. The staff directed us to an alternative.
Review 11:We wanted a romantic place where we could enjoy our anniversary. We were not disappointed. Dinner in the restaurant was great!
Review 12:There was no magnifying mirror, skimpy towels and little in bathroom amenities
Review 13:Clean, large and comfortable rooms Vanessa at reception and Caroline , the concierge, were exceptional in their service
Review 14:It was our second time there and we had a room in one one of the outside complexe which were good but a lot of come and go since we had apt at the spa
Review 15:The Hotel is clean and well situated, services at the spa were impeccable
Review 16:We tried dinner on Monday- very disappointing. Went elsewhere for therest of our trip.
Review 17:I loved the ambiance and charm of Le Manoir. The real fireplace, beautiful, clean rooms and decor set the tone for a great ski getaway. Ifelt like our children were very welcome and respected.
Review 18:No bath robe in room, had to pay for them.no slippers in room.too many people walking around in bath robes;felt less like a hotel and more like a spa!water in room was not hot.
Review 19:Exterior hot spa. parking. location
Review 20:We found a pair of very dirty socks by our bed as we walked in. We asked for a quiet room through booking.com in order to not wake up the babies- we got a room on the first floor by the parking lot. Snow plows were removing the snow all night- kids hardly slept. It was probably the noisiest room of the hotel. Told the front desk upon check-out. They said they forgot to look at the special note. No apology or anything!
Review 21:We loved the comfort of the bed and of the comforter. The location is in the heart of St-Sauveur and steps away from everything. The wifi worked great.
Review 22:Cost of on site restaurant. Towel cards.
Review 23:This hotel offers good value for families. The on site restaurant is expensive but there are many wonderful restaurants to choose from in Saint Sauveur.
Review 24:Loved the fireplace in the lobby! Perfect place to get away with family or friends. Just 45mins. from Montreal. Was there for business but great for leisure and relaxing. The staff are very accommodating. Had a great stay.
Review 25:Saint Sauveur being my home town, I returned to meet with long time friends. Great service at reception and they were able to change room (there was a rattling noise in the first one and we anticipated it would keeps us awake). It was a great autumn week end and we spend the afternoon at the pool ! Great beds and quiet. Will book again when we visit.
Review 26:Loved how everything was located at the hotel. It was a resort and there was no need to leave. The service was excellent and the rooms were large. The staff covered all our needs and we couldn't have been more pleased with our stay.
Review 27:Excellent location, and a beautiful resort. Staff were friendly and helpful although this weekend they could have used more as they seemed short staffed. The resort is close to the shops so you can walk. Would be a lovely place to visit in the fall.
Review 28:Nothing!
Review 29:Great location and price for your money. Located in the center of St Sauveur, near all shops, restaurants, and amenities. Pool very large and clean and whirlpool excellent temperature. Drinks and service from the bar outstanding. All personnel helpful and amicable.
Review 30:I don't think there was anything I didn't like.
Review 31:I have never seen a cleaning staff so busy, working so diligently while still having time to speak to you. Great location - easy walking distance to Rue Principale
Review 32:We had to change room in the middle of the night because of the air cond. started to make noise. They gave us a credit. The place is very old.
Review 33:The staff was really nice. Location is great.
Review 34:The room was outstanding
Review 35:Comfort, quiet and very clean room. Walking distance for everything
Review 36:Charge for additional coffee pods in room, if used
Review 37:Accommodations Service Cleanliness
Review 38:Need more amenities in the room like a make up mirror, more moisturizer, shower cap.
Review 39:The remote for my TV wasn't working very well.
Review 40:Very comfortable. Great service.clean rooms.lots to do.
Review 41:pAYING FOR A BOTTLE OF WATER
Review 42:Location, hot tub, lobby bar, decor.
Review 43:The TV needs to be changed. Le buffet du resto. Pas fameux. Pas de service aux chambres.
Review 44:The location
Review 45:Great outdoor hot tub.
Review 46:Use of fitness, pool and hot tub a little complicated because of towel acquisition process.
Review 47:Great facility and great location.
Review 48:cleanliness
Review 49:The selection for the buffet for breakfast. That was in no way worth 19$. We walked in and left..
Review 50:The shower was amazing!
Review 51:Property and Location!!
Review 52:Everything. The gentleman receiving the guests, and taking them to their room, was excellent. I wish I knew his name. Thank him for us. Vic Owen
Review 53:All services were excellent as well as staff at the bar, brunch and around the pool area.
Review 54:Rooms did not have balcony. TV was oddly placed.
Review 55:Hot tub was great. Location is very good. Rooms were clean. Bed was very comfortable.
Review 56:Very quiet
Review 57:The location of the room was inconvenient. Every time you want to reach the main lobby, you have to take you car to reach it. The spa and the receptionist employee at it was unprofessional and with a bad behaviour. She was impolite.
Review 58:The size of the room. The free indoor parking. The free wi-fi service.
Review 59:Had a few issues with my room however when brought to the attention of the hotel manager she made sure I was compensated.
Review 60:Staff were friendly, helpful and very attentive.
Review 61:The bed sheets were very uncomfortable, like paper, perhaps too much starch or Javex on them.... and they charge 10$ rental for bathrobes to use for the spa.
Review 62:Great Location within the village. Great outdoor spa experience. And overall great experience, would go back but would ask to be in the renovated new part of the Manoir.
Review 63:The cost of ordering food in the lounge was high and the variety of choices was poor.
Review 64:The lounge area with the fire place was a great area to sit and socialize.
Review 65:The rooms tended to be a little cold, and didnt warm up quickly when changing the thermostat. We were part of a group of 10 and we were they only couple separated from the group. Our group was in Chateau Bordeux and we were the only ones in the main building. We had to walk through the parking garage alot. There should be more then one ski shuttle going to and from the hill on incredibly busy days, we ended up loosing an hour of ski time waiting.
Review 66:The room was great, shower and bath were nice. Staff could speak both English and French which was helpful. Everything was in walking distance and easy to get in town. The outdoor hot tub was amazing!!!
Review 67:I would have liked to have been advised that it was a long walk from junior suite to main building. It would have affected my choice of room.
Review 68:The staff were friendly and very efficient. The dining room was excellent. I liked being close to the mountain and withing walking distance of rue Principale.
Review 69:No towel racks in the bathrooms; frames and some furniture were artificial (plastic instead of wood)
Review 70:Great facilities - very elegant feel and good staff services (e.g. getting towels at the pool, etc.). Perfect distance from town (to walk); good parking; Saint Sauveur is a great town to visit with lots of little shops and wonderful restaurants. Very close to the ski areas. Pool was very nice (as was the outdoor hot tub)
Review 71:Room ceiling too low, claustrophobic, rooms are dull, not enough color or art. Spare, not quite even 4 star. Air control not that effective.
Review 72:Staff, location, bar service very accommodating and always open.
Review 73:We found chocolate chunks inside the sofabed, so it was obviously not cleaned. There a kind of alarm playing long time for 2 days in the hall, next to our room. We called the reception but problem not solved.
Review 74:Very good swimming pool, either external and indoor. Wonderful exterior Jacuzzi! Heated floor in the bathroom.
Review 75:Layout of hotel. Rooms too far from facilities. Was not offered bellhop services for luggage upon arrival. Was not told room key no longer functions exactly at check out time.
Review 76:the Reception was short staffed -only 1 person- in the afternoons only 1 elevator for the 4 floors in the right wing
Review 77:location, pool, clean, good coffee maker in the room, pillows, service
Review 78:We were somewhat disappointed because we had to wait till 4:00 pm to check in. After driving for 8 hours it would have been nice to access our room to settle in and freshen up. The front desk suggested to check in half an hour to see if a room was available, but when we checked after half an hour they would tell us to wait another 30 minutes. We should have been told from the start that we would not be able to access our room until 4:00 instead of keeping us waiting for over an hour. I understand that you need time to clean and prep the rooms, but I highly doubt it that there are no rooms available before 4:00 pm. We arrived at 2:30 pm and had to wait until 4:00 before we could check in, at which time we had to wait more than 30 minutes in line because by now there was a long lineup of guests all checking in at the same time. Last year we were allowed to check-in when we arrived instead of having to wait until 4:00 pm.
Review 79:We stayed at Manoir Saint-Saveur for the first time last year and we enjoyed our stay very much. When we returned this year we were very impressed with the upgrades made to the pool and patio areas and the service that went along with it.
Review 80:Brunch for 4 people 300$ is crazy...never again.the service was veryslow, but they gave us free drinks for the delay
Review 81:The out door pool and hot tub.
Review 82:breakfast at restaurant wasn't great. I'd probably go into village and find something cheaper and better.
Review 83:great rooms, perfect location and liked hot tub outdoors!
Review 84:There is nothing to dislike.
Review 85:The staff was very helpful, accommodating and friendly. Above all, I was so happy and impressed that all the staff was kind and respectful to my children. We all had a supremely relaxing, fun-filled time.
Review 86:The room...pillows were soft and there were no extra pillows. Bathroom was not well lite, was quite dark. Shower floor grouting was coming off - maintenance is needed. Really not worth the value of the room.
Review 87:Our revised booking date (a week later from what had first been booked) had not been recorded by them so they did not have our reservation. Could have been a big problem if they were full, but they weren't and they compensated with an upgrade.
Review 88:Very pleasant and enjoyable stay. Very reasonable room service prices and excellent service. Excellent spa and outdoor hottub facilities.
Review 89:Not worth 250/night. Maybe if breakfast was included. Shower floor was 'dirty' looking, caused by the water. But they should address that.
Review 90:Room was very cute. Rustic. Great location, can walk to all the shops.
Review 91:Everything else. 3 hour delay to check-in as others checked-in aroundus. Maid service never showed up second day even after we had beenskiing all day and didn't get back to the hotel until 5:30. Limitedparking outside. Ice machine was broken. No bar fridge in either of ourrooms. Extremely slow down checkout - 20 minutes with 10 people standingwaiting! Very poor value for the money we paid!
Review 92:Pillows and duvets were nice.
Review 93:Children at the later seating for dinner (I understand families and children), but the later seating should be discouraged for families with young children - as crying children takes away from the experience... but the dining is fabulous
Review 94:The quality of the suites and the attention to detail, making this an annual destination for my wife and I. The hotel is fabulous, the staff are friendly and the location is in the heart of the Laurentian mountains with all the beauty of the fall colours and the charm of the traditional main street.
Review 95:On arrival we found their large outdoor pool was in the midst of under major reconstruction. Given that we booked weeks in advance and weren't told about it, the hotel had ample time to notify soon-to-arrive guests about the lack of a pool. Instead management opted to play the odds that new arrivals wouldn't cancel their stay, which is exactly what we did.
Review 96:Didn't stay long enough to make an assessment.
Review 97:I have stayed here many times. This time they upgraded our room so that we could have a patio as requested, it was wonderful. Small kitchenette with everything you need to cook. The room even had a small washer and dryer, great for drying out towels and swim suits after a dip in the huge swimming pool outdoors. Tennis courts are awesome and well taken care of.
Review 98:I liked the luxurious lobby, the victorian furniture , the friendly door-man,the pool with it's comfortable chairs, the outdoor terrace where youcan have a delicious hamburger. Our room was spacious and very clean. All through the hotel there is a fresh scent.there is ample freeparking. I would go back there anytime for a romantic week-end.the shopsin st-sauveur are worth a visit .. a stroll down the main street remindsus of a quaint european town.
Review 99:Our room was in remote building. I booked this resort for its facilities(restaurants, swimming pools, and spa) which are located in the mainbuilding. I wish I knew about other buildings. Our room was clean andcomfy but really nothing special compare to the main lodge.
Review 100:It's a big beautiful resort right across the shopping mall and walkingdistance form historical St. Sauveur.
Review 101:I am a regular client booked 3 rooms this summer, probably some rates promotions. Also it would be nice to reach our room through the hotel not going outside and walking the exterior parking lot. (neither underground parking) but it is ok, not big deal. It was great to have a bar at the pool. thanks
Review 102:The hospitality, the pool area clean, the tennis court, the privacy of the rooms, the location and the courtesy of the staff
Review 103:hallway/rooms smelled a little musty. Ice machine in the Sub garage level... then out of order and note to go to 'pavilion' next door to their sub garage level. NOT nice nor safe for a woman to have to go down to a desolate area like that, and probably not a good idea for anyone on their own.
Review 104:Location, great staff, comfy beds
Review 105:We got bad service at the reception on arrival. We were given a sub-standard room in an adjacent building. That room did not fit thedescription of the room we had reserved. Luckily, we had the printedbooking.com reservation confirmation which includes a detaileddescription of the room. I insisted that they provide a room as we hadreserved. In ther end, they did so.
Review 106:I liked the location, the facilities, and the ambiance.
Review 107:we were located outside of the main hotel, although I though we would be inside for kids sake. rooms were ok (dated) beds seemed ok. overall ambiance of a very old hotel.
Review 108:the location is really close to the waterpark and a short walk from the outlet shopping, longer walk to center town.
Review 109:I had a little trouble with the keys. I made a room number mistake, and tried to get into the wrong room. Then the keys would'nt workfor my room.
Review 110:Only stayed overnight. Room very fresh and clean.
Review 111:This hotel was way over-priced for the level of service provided. If ithad been about 50% the price we paid, I would say that it was acceptablefor it's price range. No horror stories or anything. But, for the pricethey charged, we expected much more in the way of service, cleanliness, facilities, and overall quality.
Review 112:We would definatley come back to the Manoir. The staff was very helpful and friendly the place was very comfortable and alive. The rest of guest were all enjoying themselves around the pool and the bar made you feel that you were down south then actually still being in a hotel in quebec. We would definatley come back
Review 113:Rooms and building are supposed to be non-smoking and they were not. The smell in the building was very off putting.
Review 114:Close to the rest of Saint-Sauveur,
Review 115:Needs for than one elevator for the rooms on the side wing.
Review 116:The hotel is lovely. The pool is relaxing with good poolside services. The location is very good to explore the many good restaurents and shops in town and close enough to enjoy outdoor activities in the mountains.
Review 117:I have to say that I find that the cleanliness of the pools and hot tubhave declined. Some of the jets in the hot tub do not work and it needssome serious cleaning. There is a table next to the spa with 2 chairs, above it is a vent that is extremely dirty. There also seems to be anant problem between the spa door and the outside pool area, near youroutdoor restaurant. It also happened that the housekeeper didn't leaveus a bath mat the first time she cleaned the bathroom or put the ironingboard away that we left out. I also found it unusual that when it isplus 30 outside you still have down filled comforters on the bed. Iwanted to use a light blanket but you do not keep any in the rooms
Review 118:IYour hotel is very quiet, your spa is very nice, we enjoyed thesurroundings of the hotel and the sitting areas. We liked the fact thatthere is a choice of in & outdoor pools.
Review 119:The hotel is very convenient. It's in the heart of Mont Saint-Sauveur,close to everything, outlets, restaurants, coffee shops, etc. We didn'teven use our car. The outside swimming pool is very nice and theemployees are very friendly and helpful.
Review 120:slow check-in/check-out service, only one receptionist at the counter while others were present in the back
Review 121:good size and clean room, rustic feeling of the manoir, very comfortable bed, friendly staff
Review 122:The suites were very nice but dark. The lighting in the washroom waspoor. There was not enough light above the mirrors. It was very hard toshave in the morning. The room was a little bit cool. We could notcontrol the temperature in the room.
Review 123:The restaurant was very good and reasonably priced. The evening staff wasvery attentive. My compliments to the maitre-d'.
Review 124:The think the hotel was nice but the staff was very lost and disorganized. They were kind...they just seemed lost and uncertain when asked a question. I stayed in a room and I can't rent movies..there was an issue with the Tv. The technician came....and still didn't know how to fix it. So... We really ended up being upset. I was alone with 3 kids...and they were very excited and kept getting let down or had to wait too long. So that was not fun.
Review 125:Did not get the room that was described on the booking.com confirmation.Only realized when I was checking out and reading my email confirmationto check the rate, and read the details of the room. When I brought itup to the manager, they made me feel like a criminal! Poor customerservice. Said I should have said something when checking in. Saidbooking.com was a third party they cannot take responisbility. Asked meto repeat my "problem" a few times as she wasnt getting if I waschecking in or checking out. A very poor experience. I am a worldtraveller and have been alll over the world. I booked the most expensiveroom in the hotel to get something nice. After a very busy week, checkedin and basically saw a fireplace in the room and remembered that aboutthe reservation. I will not return to this hotel. No one to greet us atthe door. We took in our own bags. Overall not pleasant. !!
