Reviews for Vasilopoulos House

Review 1:I thought it was all good. I'd just suggest if you're staying for a period of time - consider hiring a car to get out and about. But no complaints from me!

Review 2:Andri and Michali were so hospitable and the accommodation was comfortable with that fantastic verandah to relax on

Review 3:Friendly and hospitable owners, clean, cozy and traditional setting with amazing view, perfect for quiet nights of ouzo and meze with friends and family.

Review 4:I visited at the end of November and, like all of Cyprus, the village was a bit quiet, but I would think it would be lovely in the spring or early autumn so I will return then

Review 5:The owners of this accommodation could not have been kinder. I was brought fresh fruit from that garden, which I was also shown around, taken to breakfast on the first day as I was on my own, and I was upgraded in terms of accommodation for no extra cost. As a single traveller I felt really safe here and I definitely hope to return. Such a pretty traditional place. Lots of free parking too and a good location to get around most of Cyprus

Review 6:Upon arrival we found nobody at the place, and had to telephone a few times before finding the owner (who, it has to be said, then arrived straight away). Everything else was great!

Review 7:Vasilopoulos is a traditional house which has mantained its character: the rooms are cozy and beautifully furnished, and the small garden is perfect for having breakfast in the fresh air or relaxing after a long day of excursions. The family running it is rightly proud of the structure, and willing to recount its history. They are very nice: we particularly appreciated that every day we were they presented us with figs and grapes freshly collected.

Review 8:Warm welcome by staff, wonderful example of old Cypriot architecture, pleasant atmosphere in the courtyard with the vine and the benches with a superb view of the village. Nice surprise: Fresh grapes and figs from the owner's garden. Tasteful, old furniture.

Review 9:From calling to confirm my booking from Australia to arriving into such welcome Hospitality of Adri & her father I was completely 'at home'. I was endowed with fresh fruits from the family farm and Cyprus goodies after a 30+hour journey. This rustic, quaint property lived up to the pictures and reviews so I was completely at peace. Backed up by the local hospitality of the village and amazing weather, my package was perfectly complete. Thank you and I will be back for sure. Highly recommended!

Review 10:We loved this place. Thank you, Michalis. If rented car, the best choice.

Review 11:Going home

Review 12:Helpful owner, beautiful room. Firm bed, good air con and heating.fruit gifts from owners

Review 13:Even though we loved the village...we found it too far from the sites we wanted to visit.

Review 14:The Vasilopoulis family were lovely. We had fresh fruit from their farm waiting for us when we arrived. They also helped us sort out a problem that we had while we were there...regarding a car accident.

Review 15:Not much contact with proprietors - maybe because it was low season - could do with detailed location directions as difficult to find in the dark

Review 16:The rural aspect & friendliness

Review 17:the shower, the kitchen (no tea cups, nothing to boil milk in, so very very basic 'kitchen", the room was very dark, the airco because it gave warm air in stead of cold air

Review 18:patio and the flowers

Review 19:No microwave

Review 20:Everything... But especially:1) owners :) a) Thanks, Andri, for all your informational support b) thanks Mikhalis for your guidance across your amazing garden and for all your fruits 2) location: very cosy village, tavern on a central place, swimming pool in 5 mins drive, coast in 10-15 mins drive 3) house: old style, with a small garden in a court, with ripe grapes 4) ... and with no neighbours most of the time... In theory, the court is shared with 8 rooms, but 10 of 14 days we spent there we were alone...

Review 21:Wonderful location in an old village Very friendly local people Supermarket and tavernas close by Very close to the sea (15 min driving) Very confortable (Air conditioning, WiFi, equiped kitchen)

Review 22:Nothing, it was perfect!

Review 23:Tochni is very beautiful! Our host, Andre, was very warm and friendly. The house is lovely and we couldn't ask for more. We came during the Easter Orthodox and witnessed traditional celebrations. It was a very memorable trip and we highly recommend Vasilopoulos and Tochni Village.

Review 24:Roof very creaky and bed not comfortable at all.

Review 25:Old traditional appartment in the middle of the village. Very budget friendly. Easy acess to amenities and kitchen fully equiped.

Review 26:there were some building works just outside the house, and the rooms and bathroom were just a little on the small side. The terrace is lovely though

Review 27:The village and the house are lovely, and have the perfect balance between having a local identity and not being too touristy and being equipped for tourists. The village has a pool, a shop, and a few locally run restaurants. The people there were very friendly. We really enjoyed our stay in Tochni and would like to go back

Review 28:Beautiful view of the village from an authentic restored stone house. Convenient access, and very hosptible welcome by Athena and her uncle who runs the local shop. All convenient and friendly.
