Reviews for Auberge la Sabline

Review 1:Bathroom was kinda small and the shower tap leaked

Review 2:The room was fabulous and the king bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in.....a dream! The large sitting area\dining area was very spacious and comfortable and the entire facility was very clean. Christine is a very gracious and helpful Hostess......would love to return here if we ever come back to this area...a perfect stay in every way!

Review 3:I really liked the hosts' kindness, sensitivity, and flexibility. The breakfasts were superb. I wish I had had time to experience the sunrise meditation room.

Review 4:The owners plan to convert the auberge to co-op housing in July 2016. So stay there while you still can.

Review 5:This is a magnificent old house! Our guest room was enormous, high-ceilinged, comfortable. The king-sized bed takes up about a fifth of the room. Built in bookshelves contained an interesting collection of books both in French and in English. There were a number of places to sit--including a sofa and a glass table.r

Review 6:Auberge La Sabline is a charming old house with a lot of character. Owners did a fantastic job preserving its atmoshere while making it comfortable for their guests. Homemade waffles for breakfast were delicious! Thank you!

Review 7:We had to remove our shoes at the entrance and wear slippers... We are not slipper persons... We were turned off a little... But everything else was perfect.

Review 8:The tenants were very welcoming and suggested places to visit and restaurants.

Review 9:Everything about the place. Even though we visited in a cold March spell of weather we were able to view the St. Lawrence River in beautiful sunny weather.

Review 10:There was nothing we didn't like.

Review 11:What a beautiful Inn. We felt very at home in this establishment. The beds were wonderful and the breakfasts to die for as it was a shame to eat them.

Review 12:WiFi didn't work but was checked after when asked. One of the washroom doors didn't close properly There was work being done on the house so it took us by surprise to see people outside our window but luckily I had the shutters closed

Review 13:Food was excellent! Rooms are spacious and magnificent! Hosts are knowledgeable, courteous and welcoming. Definitely would recommend!

Review 14:Christine and Thierry were the most wonderful hosts. His breakfast waffles were amazing. The house Is beautifully decorated, and it's surroundings are peaceful.

Review 15:La Sabline was very easy to find set back from the main road. It is a pretty heritage house, well preserved with an interesting recorded history. The hosts are most welcoming and helpful with local information for sight seeing and dinner options. The waffles for breakfast were so delicious with fresh berries and maple cream. We had the large library room with ensuite which was super comfortable. Other rooms were simpler but also attractive.

Review 16:Not the owners fault but we would never share a bathroom again. We booked based on a friends stay- they had the only room with it's own bath. The wifi did not work well in our room but was excellent in the main area.

Review 17:Great spot- excellent hosts- Christine & Thiery informed us of the many important and historical features of their adopted home.

Review 18:The bed wasn't great and the decor looked like it came from the 70s.

Review 19:The hosts were very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast in the morning was great.

Review 20:Hosts were very welcoming and provided excellent recommendations for restaurants and things to see in RDL. The view of the sunset over Saint Laurent was the most beautiful thing I've seen in quite some time! Waffles in the morning were positively delicious and the home was very quaint and comfortable.

Review 21:The atmosphere is quite relaxed. One has to put off the shoes when entering the B&B – it is a little bit like coming home. The room and the shared bathroom were very clean, the breakfast was excellent (self-made waffle topped with fresh fruit and two different sauces).
